Machinima Working Group Meeting
The meeting for the Machinima Working Group will be at 10 am SLT on Sat Dec 18th at Front Range. http://slurl.com/secondlife/Front%20Range/154/115/48/
We’ll start with a quick overview of where we are so far, work on scheduling workshop from 1/15 – 2/15 and then work on a promotional machinima for the stream.

Last night as educators and educational researchers danced to “eightes” tunes, bowled, skated and arm wrestled, Sheila Yoshikawa (SL) was crowned ( yes – she did receive a crown) the winner of the December Challenge. She won with her Machinima made on screenr “Information Literacy on Infolit iSchool“ But wait – there’s more! ARVEL SIG is extending the contest in January with 3 categories – Virtual Worlds, AR and Games. So use some sort of screencast software ( www.screenr.com suggested by ARVEL SIG) and make a five minute video of how you are using virtual worlds, AR or games.
And whatever you make for SIG ARVEL please consider also submitted to the Machinima Stream for VWBPE!http://www.vwbpe.org/calls/machinima

2010 Edublog Awards Ceremony http://edublogawards.com/last-chance-to-vote-and-dont-miss-the-live-awards-show/ will take place on Wednesday, December 15 th 5 pm MST.

The show will last around 90 minutes. Following the show there will be open mics and webcams and a “virtual” post-show /year-end party.
